ANAD and Eat Breathe Thrive have been working together toward our shared mission to help people recover from eating disorders for years.

Eat Breathe Thrive is proud to call ANAD a partner. Serving people with eating disorders across the United States, ANAD believes people heal better when they know they’re not alone. They offer free, peer-led support groups and mentorship to help anyone struggling with an eating disorder. Collectively, Eat Breathe Thrive and ANAD are working together to ensure all people have access to the support they need to recover.

Eat Breathe Thrive & ANAD

Partnership Story

In 2022, ANAD and Eat Breathe Thrive offered an inaugural event during Eating Disorders Awareness Week that would be the start of our formal partnership. Highlighting the importance of community and connection on the road to healing from an eating disorder, Yoga + Recovery Chats created a space for people in recovery to connect and practice yoga and meditation together.

Yoga + Recovery Chats is now a joint quarterly event we offer together on a regular basis, ensuring all people with eating disorders have access to yoga and peer support. These events are a great way to meet new people, practice yoga and meditation designed to support eating disorder recovery, and get inspired by those with first-hand experience of what it takes to recover.

About ANAD

Founded in 1976, the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD) is the leading nonprofit in the United States that provides free, peer support services to anyone struggling with an eating disorder. ANAD’s nationwide network of volunteers understand first-hand the ups and downs of the recovery journey—because they, too, have lived the experience of an eating disorder.

Serving more than 10,000 individuals in 2023, the organization’s services include a warm helpline, weekly peer-led virtual support groups, a six-month peer mentorship program, approach guide series, and expanding treatment directory.

If you or a loved one is struggling with eating or body image concerns, the ANAD Helpline is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. CT at 1-888-375-7767.
