The Eating Disorder Foundation (EDF) and Eat Breathe Thrive are working toward our shared mission of preventing and helping people recover from eating disorders through education, support, and advocacy.
Eat Breathe Thrive is proud to call EDF a partner. Serving people with eating disorders across the globe, EDF engages in education and advocacy initiatives together with timely support and provides connection, community, and hope for individuals with eating disorders and their families and friends. Collectively, Eat Breathe Thrive and EDF are working together to ensure all people have access to the support they need to recover.
Eat Breathe Thrive & The Eating Disorder Foundation
Partnership Story
In 2024, EDF and Eat Breathe Thrive offered our inaugural event during Eating Disorders Awareness Week, which would start our formal partnership. Highlighting the importance of community and connection on the road to healing from an eating disorder, How We Recover created a space for people in recovery to hear from a diverse group of people with lived experience of eating disorders about what life is like now, beyond the eating disorder, and what it took to get there.
How We Recover is now a joint quarterly event we offer together regularly, ensuring all people with eating disorders have access to yoga and peer support. These events are a great way to meet others on the recovery journey, collectively working to break the shame around eating disorders and build a life worth living.
The Eating Disorder Foundation
About EDF
The Eating Disorder Foundation is a non-profit organization devoted to helping people with eating disorders, their families, and their friends to rebuild shattered lives. We also work to increase awareness about disorders that can ruin and even end lives. Our two-pronged approach centers on free support services and extensive educational efforts, provided at no charge to schools and community groups.
