What Advocates Do:
In Schools and Universities
Our advocates help bring our eating disorder prevention programs into education to empower young people with skills for mindful eating, emotional resilience, and self-esteem. In the past, our advocates have helped us secure academic credit for Eat Breathe Thrive courses, hosted events for Eating Disorder Awareness Week, and brought our work into university counselling centers.
In the Community
Our advocates help expand access to Eat Breathe Thrive programs, especially in communities where many people with eating disorders don't have access to adequate treatment. In the past, advocates have held fundraising events, hosted donation classes, and fostered collaborations to bring our work into yoga studios and community organizations.
In Treatment Centers
Our advocates work with us to bring yoga into eating disorder treatment. In the past, advocates have held educational events on the benefits of yoga for other clinicians, signposted clients to local Eat Breathe Thrive programs, and fostered collaborations to forward our research initiatives.
