About the workshop

Over the last several decades, science has shed new light on how yoga and meditation affect wellbeing. Many of the most important insights have yet to trickle into mainstream understanding — if you’re interested in why yoga makes you feel so good, this workshop is for you!

In this workshop, you’ll learn about how the activity of the vagus nerve underpins our emotional life and ability to respond to stress with resilience. We’ll delve into the powerful effect yoga practices have on the vagus nerve and autonomic nervous system. You’ll come away with insight, understanding, and simple yoga practices to support self-regulation and emotional resilience.

  • The Power of the Vagus Nerve: Discover the critical role the “wandering nerve” plays in your emotional life and how it can help you generate positive states of mind.

  • Yoga and the Nervous System: Learn simple practices you can use to shift your autonomic nervous system and cope more effectively with stress.

  • Building Emotional Resilience: Leave equipped with simple yet profound yoga techniques that support self-regulation and help you cope with tough experiences.
